Privacy policy

Cattlo runs the Cattlo app and this website. This page says what we keep about you and your farm, why, who can see it, and how to remove it.
What we keep
- Your account: your email address, your password (stored scrambled, never readable), or your Google sign-in, and the name and photo you add.
- Your farm's records: what you and your team enter, such as animals and their photos, milk, breeding, health and medicine, feed, weights, stock, tasks and money, plus the farm's details and who entered each record.
- Your team: the email addresses you invite and the role you give each person.
- Pilot requests: the name, WhatsApp number, email, farm location and herd size you send with the form on this website, and the messages you send us on WhatsApp.
- Website visits: page views and load times, counted without cookies and without identifying you.
- App crashes: when the app breaks, what went wrong in its code, the screen it was on, the app version and the phone's model and system. Never your records, name, email or location.
Why we keep it
To run Cattlo for you: to sign you in, keep your records safe and the same on every phone, show them on the website, remind you what is due, and answer you when you ask to join the pilot or for help. We don't sell your information, show you ads, or use your farm's records for anything else.
Who can see it
Your farm's records are seen by the people on your farm, as far as their role allows. The farm owner decides what each role can see and change. Your name and photo show on the records you enter.
We use a few companies to run Cattlo. They handle your information only to provide their service to us:
- Supabase, which stores accounts, records and photos.
- Resend, which sends our emails, such as sign-in codes.
- Vercel, which runs this website and counts visits.
- Google, if you choose to sign in with Google.
- Expo, which delivers app updates.
- Sentry, which tells us when the app crashes.
We share information with anyone else only if the law requires it.
On your phone
The app keeps a copy of your farm's records on your phone so it works without internet, and uploads changes when you are back online. Signing out removes that copy from the phone.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and your farm's records until you delete them. Pilot requests are kept until we have answered them and no longer need them.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time: in the app under Profile and settings, Delete account, or on the website under Your profile. This deletes your sign-in, name and photo straight away. If you own a farm, the farm and all its records and photos are deleted too, for everyone on it, so download a copy first if you want one. If you are on someone else's farm, you leave it and the records you entered stay with the farm.
You can also ask us to see, correct or delete what we keep about you by writing to hamzamian@gmail.com.
Keeping it safe
Information travels encrypted between your phone or browser and our servers. Each farm can only read its own records, and the server checks every change against the person's role.
Children
Cattlo is for people running or working on a farm. It is not meant for children under 13.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy we update this page and its date, and tell you in the app when the change matters to you. Questions? Write to hamzamian@gmail.com.
